Supporting Learners with Different Needs

As a SEND tutor or mentor, you may support pupils who:

• Have autism spectrum conditions
• Experience emotionally based school avoidance
• Have SEMH needs
• Access EOTAS provision
• Are awaiting specialist placements
• Need support with reintegration into education
• Require one to one support outside of a mainstream classroom

Every programme is tailored to the individual learner, with a focus on engagement, trust and long term progress.

Educational Psychology, Mentoring and Specialist Support

One of the strengths of our Wokingham provision is the range of people involved in supporting young people.

Alongside experienced teachers and tutors, we work with SEND mentors and people from educational psychology and related academic backgrounds, including graduates and undergraduates from institutions such as the University of Reading.
