Make a Lasting Difference Through One to One Tuition

Every child learns differently, and for some young people, a personalised approach outside mainstream education can help rebuild confidence, re engage them with learning and support them to achieve their potential.

Many of the pupils we work with have SEND, SEMH needs, autism, anxiety related school avoidance or Education Otherwise Than At School arrangements. Others may access tuition because of medical needs, behavioural challenges, trauma or disruption to their education.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for compassionate, reliable and adaptable tutors who enjoy working one to one and can build positive relationships with young people.

Whether your background is in primary education, secondary teaching, SEND support or specialist mentoring, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver personalised learning programmes that can make a genuine difference.

We’re particularly interested in tutors who can deliver English, Maths and Science, while also welcoming applications from those with experience in Humanities, Computing, Art, Design Technology, Food and Nutrition, Performing Arts, Languages and vocational learning.

Sessions are mainly delivered face to face in pupils’ homes, community venues or other agreed locations across Somerset.

Regular weekly placements are available, with competitive rates of pay depending on qualifications, experience and the needs of each placement.
