Quantum Scholars Expands Alternative Provision Support into Herefordshire and Somerset

We’re pleased to share some exciting news at Quantum Scholars.

Over recent months, we’ve continued to grow our Alternative Provision services and are delighted to be expanding our work with both Herefordshire Council and Somerset Council as we prepare to support more children and young people from September 2026 onwards.

For us, this is a really positive step.

Over the last couple of years we’ve increasingly focused on supporting pupils who are unable to access mainstream education for a variety of reasons. Every referral is different, but many of the young people we work with have SEND, SEMH, autism, anxiety, medical needs, trauma, or are experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).

Our role is to work alongside councils, schools, families and tutors to ensure that children continue receiving meaningful education through personalised 1:1 tuition and mentoring.

As demand for Alternative Provision continues to grow, we’re looking forward to supporting even more learners across Herefordshire and Somerset during the new academic year.

Alongside this, we’re continuing to grow our network of tutors and education professionals. We’re always keen to hear from experienced teachers, SEND specialists, tutors, Learning Support Assistants, behaviour mentors and others who share our belief that every child deserves access to education that works for them.

We’re excited about what lies ahead and look forward to working with new schools, councils, tutors and families over the coming months.
