Quantum Scholars are working with a fantastic secondary school located near Slough, Berkshire, who are seeking a qualified Teacher of Mathematics for a temporary position from January 2026 to April 2026.

Their report highlights the school’s strong, supportive atmosphere, students often describe it as “a small school with a big heart.” The school is co-educational and caters to learners aged 11-18.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Specialism in Mathematics with strong subject knowledge

  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3-KS4; KS5 desirable)

  • Ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons

  • Strong classroom management and behaviour-for-learning skills

  • Commitment to supporting student progress and achievement

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school life

  • MUST have a Right to Work in the UK!

Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics across the relevant key stages

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners

  • Assess, track and report on student progress in line with school policies

  • Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

  • Contribute to departmental planning, meetings and curriculum development

  • Participate in school events, duties and wider school activities as required

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and achievement
