Quantum Scholars are working with a fantastic secondary school in Berkshire who are seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.

Applications are welcome from both ECTs and experienced teachers.

The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality Science teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach Chemistry, Physics and/or Biology. The successful applicant will be passionate about their subject and dedicated to inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

The hiring school is an 11-18 comprehensive secondary school with a strong tradition of excellent academic outcomes alongside a broad and inclusive curriculum designed to support all learners. Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, Physics and/or Biology
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for education and student achievement
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive department
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Science lessons
  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students of all abilities to reach their potential
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school activities
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement
