We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and caring team in Surrey from September, working with children and young people facing social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs

Assisting students with emotional regulation and self-soothing techniques

Supporting personal care where necessary

Creating a calm, safe environment that helps students thrive both academically and emotionally

Collaborating closely with teachers and safeguarding leads to support vulnerable learners

Promoting inclusion and helping young people build positive, meaningful relationships
What we’re looking for:

Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (formal or informal)

A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach

A good understanding of safeguarding practices

Someone eager to develop a career in education, therapy, youth work, or related fields
