We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and caring team in Surrey from September, working with children and young people facing social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs

  • Assisting students with emotional regulation and self-soothing techniques

  • Supporting personal care where necessary

  • Creating a calm, safe environment that helps students thrive both academically and emotionally

  • Collaborating closely with teachers and safeguarding leads to support vulnerable learners

  • Promoting inclusion and helping young people build positive, meaningful relationships

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (formal or informal)

  • A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach

  • A good understanding of safeguarding practices

  • Someone eager to develop a career in education, therapy, youth work, or related fields

  • Must have a Right to Work in the UK!
