Off-Site One-to-One Science Tutor
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Part-time or Full-time (until the end of the academic year)
Location: Various off-site settings – access to a car is desirable
Pay: Up to Classroom Teacher Pay Scale (for qualified teachers)

Are you passionate about helping young people succeed through personalised, flexible learning?
We’re seeking caring and committed tutors to deliver one-to-one Science tuition to students aged 5-16, some of whom have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or other learning difficulties.
This is a highly rewarding role, providing support to students outside of traditional school settings. You’ll play a key part in helping them re-engage with education, build confidence, and reach their learning goals.
About the Role:

Deliver tailored one-to-one Science sessions

Support learners with a wide range of abilities and needs

Plan engaging lessons personalised to each student’s learning plan

Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress

Collaborate closely with schools, families, and other professionals to support consistent learning outcomes
About You:

Ideally a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent), though strong applicants with tutoring or mentoring experience are also welcome

Experience working with SEND is highly valued

Flexible, patient, and empathetic, with the ability to build strong, positive relationships with learners

Access to a car is advantageous unless you are based locally
