This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to teach Science in a well-resourced and supportive environment. The role is initially offered as a long-term supply position for the full academic year, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

The school hiring are a thriving co-educational 11-19 academy based in Essex. They’re rated as a “Good” performing school overall by Ofsted. It is situated in a lovely area with great access to local transport routes.

Requirements

We are looking for a teacher who meets the following criteria:

  • UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching Science to Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • A passion for Science and inspiring young minds

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Must have a Right to Work in the UK!
  • Must be available to start in September 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback

  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment activities

  • Participate in school-wide events and CPD opportunities
