Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching available depending on experience and specialism)

Inspire students to explore scientific concepts, develop practical skills, and build confidence in scientific thinking

Create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, resilience, and independent learning

Use a range of assessment methods to monitor progress and inform teaching

Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental planning

Take part in school science initiatives, enrichment activities, and extra-curricular opportunities

Uphold high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

A degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline)

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A reflective practitioner with a commitment to professional growth
