Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching available depending on experience and specialism)

  • Inspire students to explore scientific concepts, develop practical skills, and build confidence in scientific thinking

  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, resilience, and independent learning

  • Use a range of assessment methods to monitor progress and inform teaching

  • Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental planning

  • Take part in school science initiatives, enrichment activities, and extra-curricular opportunities

  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline)

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A reflective practitioner with a commitment to professional growth

  • Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
