Quantum Scholars are working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wokingham, who are looking for an experienced RE and Sociology Tutor to deliver 1:1, in-person tuition for a secondary-aged pupil in Wokingham.
This role involves supporting a student who is currently outside of mainstream education, often due to additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical needs.
About the role:
- Provide 1:1 RE and Sociology tuition to a secondary-aged pupil
- Support a student in alternative provision or EOTAS
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the pupil’s individual learning needs
- Sessions typically take place in the pupil’s home or a suitable community setting
- 4 hours per week, starting after Easter
- Flexible, part-time hours during school hours

Requirements:
- QTS preferred but not essential
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Full Right to Work in the UK
- Ability to travel within Wokingham
