MFL Teacher (French & Spanish) – Essex | January 2026 Start | Permanent, Full-Time
Quantum Scholars are delighted to be working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Essex seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to join their team from January 2026.
This full-time, permanent position offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated language teacher to contribute to a supportive and well-resourced department. You will be primarily teaching French and Spanish across Key Stages 3-5, inspiring students to develop a genuine love for languages and global cultures.
The school hiring is a mixed secondary school catering to ages 11-18 years old. They are an inclusive school and they prive themselves on the fact that they are a family.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging French and Spanish lessons across KS3-KS5

Support students in developing strong communication and cultural understanding

Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and enrichment opportunities within the MFL department

Encourage a positive learning environment that promotes curiosity and confidence in language learning

Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to wider school initiatives
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Strong subject knowledge in French and/or Spanish (ability to teach both preferred)

Proven success teaching languages across Key Stages 3-5

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A passion for inspiring young people through language and cultural education
