Quantum Scholars are working closely with a well-regarded secondary school in Berkshire that is seeking a committed MFL Teacher(Mainly Spanish) to join their team from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position and a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic language specialist to contribute to a thriving Modern Foreign Languages department.
The hiring school is a co-educational secondary academy serving students aged 11-18. With over 1,700 pupils-including around 400 in the sixth form-the school prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Ofsted has rated the school “Good,” highlighting strengths in behaviour, personal development, and leadership. The sixth form provision received particular praise, achieving an “Outstanding” judgement.
Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and well-structured Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)

Plan, prepare, and assess work in accordance with curriculum guidelines

Support students of all abilities to ensure they reach their full potential

Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and wider school initiatives

Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents

Participate in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school events
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

Strong subject knowledge in Spanish

Previous experience teaching Spanish in a secondary school setting

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
