Teacher of Mathematics

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our thriving and supportive secondary school in Datchet, Berkshire. Rated Good by Ofsted, our school is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a culture of Courage, Compassion and Commitment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to take on a classroom teaching role across KS3 and KS4, with additional leadership responsibilities as Head of Key Stage 4 or 5, supported by a TLR 2A (£3,527).


Key Stage Leadership Responsibilities

  • Strategically lead the development and performance of a key stage in Mathematics
  • Promote the ethos, aims and public image of the department
  • Drive high standards of attainment, attendance, behaviour and engagement
  • Oversee curriculum planning, teaching quality and assessment within the key stage
  • Monitor student progress and implement effective interventions
  • Support and mentor new teachers (ECTs/PGCE trainees)
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents and carers

General Teaching Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, interactive and inspiring Maths lessons
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding progress and achievements
  • Uphold high expectations for student behaviour and academic success

Supporting the School

  • Attend staff meetings and INSET days, engaging in ongoing professional development
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding and student welfare
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and maintain confidentiality where appropriate
