Quantum Scholars are currently working with a supporting and high-achieving secondary school in Hertfordshire who are seeking a committed Maths Teacher to join them from September 2025 for a fixed-term contract until Easter 2026(2 terms only).

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maths teacher looking to secure a short-term role in a well-resourced and forward-thinking school environment. The ideal candidate must already be currently teaching in the UK, have significant UK teaching experience and have a right to work in the UK!

About the School:

The school hiring are located in Hertfordshire. It is a mixed-comprehensive secondary school with a sixth form that caters to students aged 11-18 years old. They’re rated as a “Outstanding” performing school overall by Ofsted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3-KS4).

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with national curriculum requirements.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and targeted support.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, collaborative planning, and CPD opportunities.

  • Uphold high standards of classroom behaviour and academic achievement.

  • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities where required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Recent experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school.

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for mathematics education.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Must be available to start in September 2025.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available for this role.
