Quantum Scholars are working closely with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wokingham who are currently seeking an experienced Maths tutor to support a Year 11 pupil accessing alternative provision (AP).
They’re looking for a Maths Tutor to provide 1 hour session of Maths every Thursday – starting ASAP. This will likely continue for around 6 weeks.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work one-to-one with learners, delivering tailored Maths sessions that help build confidence, strengthen core numeracy skills, and support their transition back into education.
Tutors will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons that meet each learner’s individual needs.
Role Overview:
- Deliver 1:1 Maths tuition to a Year 11 pupil
- Flexible, part-time opportunities
- Sessions take place during school hours, so daytime availability is essential
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (e.g. autism, SEMH)
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience delivering Maths tuition
- Ability to travel to Wokingham for in-person sessions
Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, and applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths tutor looking to make a meaningful impact while benefiting from a flexible working schedule.
