Quantum Scholars are delighted to be supporting a well-established alternative provision in Berkshire that is looking for a committed and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work with small groups of 1-2 primary-aged pupils. This meaningful role focuses on delivering high-quality, tailored learning support while also providing nurturing pastoral guidance to learners with SEMH needs or additional learning requirements.
The position is due to begin in January 2026, initially for one term, with a strong possibility of extension for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and skilled HLTA who is passionate about helping children succeed in a personalised environment outside of mainstream education.
Role Highlights:
-
3 days per week – flexible hours to be agreed
-
Support primary-aged pupils in a calm, individualised learning setting
-
Lead and deliver structured learning sessions adapted to a range of academic and emotional needs
-
Build positive, trusting relationships that help pupils re-engage with education
-
Work collaboratively with the leadership team to monitor and support each learner’s progress
Sessions may take place in community-based locations or within pupils’ homes, therefore applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Candidates must also have full Right to Work in the UK as sponsorship is not available.
If you are a patient, resilient and creative HLTA seeking a truly rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
Interviews are scheduled for next week, so please submit your application promptly to avoid disappointment.
