Food Technology Teacher – Southampton
Start Date: Easter 2026 | Full-Time | Permanent

Quantum Scholars are currently working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Southampton that is seeking a qualified Food Technology Teacher to join their department from Easter 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and make a real impact within a supportive and dynamic team.

This is a full-time, permanent position, and overseas applicants are welcome but you must have the Right to Work in the UK to be eligible.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary school level

  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, practical lessons

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • Commitment to supporting student progress and achieving high standards

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to departmental initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inspiring and well-planned Food Technology lessons to a range of year groups

  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing feedback to support learning

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

  • Support extracurricular activities and school events where relevant
