Quantum Scholars are delighted to be working with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school located in Essex. They are seeking a talented and enthusiastic English Teacher to join on a Long-Term supply basis with a strong potential for a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Inspire and engage students to achieve their full potential in English

  • Assess, track and report on student progress effectively

  • Participate in department planning, meetings, and whole-school events

  • Foster a positive classroom environment with strong behaviour management

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK

  • Recent experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for literature and language

  • Commitment to student success and inclusive teaching practices

  • Must have a Right to Work in the UK!
  • Must be available to start in September 2025
