Teacher of English – Secondary (KS3-KS4)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Chessington, South West London, from January 2026.

The successful candidate will join a well-established English department within a school that is committed to providing high-quality education in a caring and inclusive environment. This post is available on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Contribute to departmental planning, assessment, and curriculum development.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Have experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level.

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Be committed to inclusive teaching and able to engage a diverse range of learners, including those who may present additional challenges.

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK (the school is unable to offer sponsorship).
