Design Technology Teacher (Engineering & Metalwork) – Full Time

Quantum Scholars are working with a thriving secondary school in Hertfordshire to recruit a qualified, full-time Design Technology Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a long-term position running until the end of the academic year, with a strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have a specialism in Engineering and Metalwork, with a passion for delivering engaging and practical lessons that inspire students.
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level

Specialism in Engineering and/or Metalwork

Strong classroom management skills

Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons

Teach Engineering and Metalwork in line with the national curriculum

Assess, monitor, and track student progress

Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment

Work collaboratively with the department and wider school team
