Quantum Scholars are delighted to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Berkshire, currently seeking a full-time, permanent Design Technology Teacher to join their dynamic and supportive department in January 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)

  • Contribute to the development of a broad and balanced DT curriculum

  • Foster a positive learning environment where students feel inspired and confident to develop their technical and creative skills

  • Monitor, assess, and report on students’ progress in line with school and national expectations

  • Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and CPD opportunities

  • Uphold the school’s values and contribute positively to the wider school community

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Degree in Design Technology or related subject

  • Strong subject knowledge across key DT disciplines (e.g., Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering, or Graphics)

  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Passion for Design Technology and a desire to inspire young learners

  • A team player with a collaborative mindset
