Computer Science Tutor – PRU / Alternative Provision – Wokingham, Berkshire

Quantum Scholars are working alongside a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Wokingham who are looking for an experienced Computer Science Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 Computer Science tuition to pupils who are currently out of mainstream education.
This role will commence ASAP, subject to background checks.
This position focuses on supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include Autism, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical needs. The successful tutor will be able to adapt their teaching approach to meet individual learning needs and deliver engaging, accessible lessons that help pupils build confidence and make academic progress.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a Computer Science educator who is passionate about making a meaningful difference. You will work closely with individual pupils, delivering tailored sessions that support both their understanding of Computer Science and their engagement with learning.
Sessions typically take place in the pupil’s home or in a suitable community setting, and tutors will be responsible for planning and preparing lessons and resources appropriate to each pupil’s needs and ability level.

Requirements:

Full right to work in the UK

Must be able to commute to Wokingham

Must have SEND experience

Must have UK-based, in-person tuition or teaching experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

A calm, patient, and resilient approach
