Computer Science Tutor – PRU / Alternative Provision – Wokingham, Berkshire

Quantum Scholars is working alongside a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wokingham to recruit an experienced Computer Science Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition for a pupil who is currently outside of mainstream education.
This role is available for an immediate start, subject to the successful completion of background checks.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a Computer Science educator who is passionate about making a genuine difference. You will work closely with the pupil, delivering tailored sessions that build their understanding of Computer Science while also supporting positive engagement with learning.
Sessions will typically take place in the pupil’s home or in a suitable community setting. Tutors will be responsible for planning and preparing lessons and resources that are tailored to the pupil’s individual needs and level of ability.

Requirements:

Full right to work in the UK

Ability to travel to Wokingham for in-person sessions

Experience supporting pupils with SEND

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

A calm, patient, and resilient approach
