Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality lessons in Computer Science across KS3 and KS4 (with the potential for KS5)

Develop and enhance the computing curriculum to keep it aligned with current trends and technologies

Inspire students to explore programming, data, algorithms, cybersecurity, and computational logic

Assess student progress and provide effective feedback in line with school policy

Contribute to extra-curricular opportunities such as coding clubs or STEM activities

Engage in professional development and departmental collaboration

Promote digital responsibility, creativity, and independent learning
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field

Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS)

A commitment to inclusive, engaging, and student-centred teaching

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
