Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching available for suitable candidates).

Inspire a love for visual arts through a rich and varied curriculum, with a focus on both traditional and contemporary techniques.

Monitor student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support academic and personal development.

Prepare students for GCSE examinations in Art and Design, with a clear understanding of assessment objectives and creative portfolio development.

Contribute to extra-curricular activities including clubs, art exhibitions, and school productions.

Participate in departmental planning, meetings, and wider school initiatives.

Uphold the school’s values, promote high standards of behaviour, and create a safe, respectful classroom environment.
Requirements:

UK-recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (including PGCE, SCITT, or international equivalent with UK teaching eligibility).

A degree in Art, Fine Art, Art & Design, or a closely related subject.

A genuine passion for art education and a commitment to inspiring young learners.

Experience teaching Art at the secondary level (NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply).

Excellent organisational skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
