Introducing Our Alternative Provision Tuition Service

Over the past 12 months, Quantum Scholars has expanded its services to provide Alternative Provision (AP) tuition for schools, trusts and local authorities across the UK.

While Quantum Scholars is well established in education recruitment, placing high-quality teachers in schools both in the UK and internationally, we recognised an increasing demand for flexible Alternative Provision support for students who are unable to access mainstream education.

Our bespoke tuition service has been developed to support these students through personalised learning delivered by experienced educators.

What is Alternative Provision?

Alternative Provision (AP) refers to education arranged for students who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons. This may include students who are:

  • Experiencing medical or mental health challenges

  • At risk of exclusion or permanently excluded

  • Struggling with anxiety or school avoidance

  • Waiting for a new school placement

  • In need of additional support to re-engage with education

Through one-to-one tuition and small group learning, Alternative Provision allows students to continue making academic progress in a more supportive and flexible environment.

Bespoke Alternative Provision Tuition

Quantum Scholars provides bespoke Alternative Provision tuition programmes designed around the individual needs of each student.

Our tutors deliver structured lessons in a range of core subjects, including:

  • English

  • Mathematics

  • Science

  • GCSE preparation and exam support

Tuition can take place in person or online, depending on the needs of the student and the requirements of the school or local authority.

Every tutor in our network is carefully selected for their subject expertise, safeguarding awareness and experience supporting students with additional needs.

Supporting Schools and Local Authorities

Schools and local authorities often need reliable Alternative Provision tutors at short notice. Drawing on our background in teacher recruitment, Quantum Scholars is able to quickly match schools with experienced educators who can provide high-quality AP tuition.

We work collaboratively with schools, SEN teams and local authority partners to ensure that each student receives the right level of academic and pastoral support.

Helping Students Re-engage with Education

The ultimate goal of Alternative Provision is to help students re-engage with learning and progress towards their educational goals. In many cases, tuition also supports a student’s successful reintegration into mainstream education.

By combining our recruitment expertise with a network of skilled educators, Quantum Scholars aims to provide schools and local authorities with a trusted provider of Alternative Provision tuition.

If your school or local authority is looking for Alternative Provision tutors or bespoke tuition support, please contact the Quantum Scholars team to find out how we can help.
