Quantum Scholars is recruiting tutors, qualified teachers, SEND mentors and experienced education professionals for SEND and Alternative Provision tutor jobs across Herefordshire.
As part of Herefordshire’s Alternative Provision network, we deliver specialist one to one tuition and educational support for primary and secondary aged pupils across the county.
Tutoring roles are only available to applicants who are already based in the UK, have the right to work in the UK and can deliver tutoring in the required local area. We cannot offer visa sponsorship or relocation support for tutoring roles.

Supporting Children and Young People Across Herefordshire Through Personalised Tuition
We support children and young people who need an individualised approach to learning. Many of the pupils we work with have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, autism, anxiety related school avoidance or Education Otherwise Than At School arrangements.
Others may require temporary educational support because of medical needs, behavioural challenges or the impact of trauma.
Our personalised approach helps learners rebuild confidence, re engage with education and work towards positive long term outcomes.
SEND Tutor and Mentor Opportunities in Herefordshire
As our provision across Herefordshire continues to grow, we are looking to work with experienced tutors, qualified teachers, SEND mentors and educational practitioners who are passionate about supporting young people on a one to one basis.
We welcome tutors with experience across both primary and secondary education, particularly those able to deliver core subjects such as English, Maths and Science.
We also value tutors with specialist knowledge in subjects including Humanities, Computing, Food and Nutrition, Performing Arts, Art, Design Technology, Languages and vocational learning.
Placements are mainly delivered face to face in pupils’ homes, community venues and other agreed locations across Herefordshire, with every programme tailored to the individual learner.
Many assignments provide regular weekly tuition, allowing tutors to develop strong relationships and make a lasting impact on a young person’s educational journey.
Competitive rates of pay are available based on qualifications, experience and the specific requirements of each placement.
Who We Support
Our tutors may work with pupils who:
• Have autism spectrum conditions
• Experience Emotionally Based School Avoidance
• Have SEMH needs
• Require Alternative Provision
• Access EOTAS provision through an EHCP
• Have experienced trauma or significant disruption to their education
• Are unable to attend school because of medical needs
• Need support with reintegration into education
