Year 4 Primary Teacher – Reading, Berkshire
Start Date: After February Half- Term / 2026
Contract Length: Until the end of the academic year (July 2026), with strong potential for a permanent position.

Quantum Scholars are working with a welcoming, supportive, and well-established primary school in Reading that is seeking a motivated and inspiring Year 4 Primary Teacher to join their team after February half-term.

You will be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team that values creativity, professional development, and high-quality teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the Year 4/KS2 curriculum
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles
  • Assess, track, and record pupil progress, ensuring appropriate support and challenge for all learners
  • Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes confidence and curiosity
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil progress
  • Take part in staff meetings, training, and whole-school initiatives
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including possible involvement in extracurricular activities or events

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching within KS2, with Year 4 experience essential
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
  • A proactive, reflective, and well-organised approach to teaching
  • Right to work in the UK (the school is unable to offer sponsorship)
