One-to-One Primary Tutors Required (SEMH / Alternative Provision – Wokingham Area)

We are seeking qualified primary teachers or experienced tutors to deliver one-to-one, off-site tuition to pupils in and around Wokingham who are currently out of mainstream education.

This role is ideal for teachers looking to step away from the pressures of mainstream classrooms and move into part-time, flexible work, while still earning equivalent classroom teacher pay rates. The work is relationship-led and SEMH-informed, focusing on re-engaging pupils in learning.

⚠️ Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Role Overview

  • Part-time, flexible one-to-one tuition for primary-aged pupils

  • Pupils typically present with SEMH needs and are accessing alternative provision

  • Focus on English and core literacy skills

  • Off-site work in the local Wokingham area

  • Supported by and reporting to our SENDCo

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status preferred

  • Enhanced DBS (Update Service desirable)

  • Ability to travel locally (car preferred)

  • Experience with SEMH or pupils out of mainstream education is an advantage

Pay

  • Equivalent to classroom teacher pay rates, dependent on experience
