Quantum Scholars are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Buckinghamshire to appoint a Religious Education Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2026. The successful candidate will be employed directly by the school.
This Ofsted-rated Good school is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form academy, known for its high expectations, excellent pastoral care, and genuinely supportive staff culture. The Role
You will join a dedicated and collaborative Humanities department, delivering engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to the wider life of a thriving secondary school.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and respectful discussion
* Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice
* Contribute to enrichment activities and the wider school community
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Ability to teach Religious Education at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* A genuine passion for inspiring and engaging young people
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
* An up-to-date Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
