Quantum Scholars are working with a wonderful Primary School in Surrey that is seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a full-time, long-term temporary role with the potential to become permanent, offering an excellent opportunity to settle into a supportive and welcoming school community.

This vibrant Primary School caters for children aged 4-11 and is proudly rated “Good” by Ofsted. Inspectors praised the school for creating a nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, secure and happy, and highlighted the high expectations set by staff, which enable pupils to make strong, consistent progress across all subjects.

Requirements

  • Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS or equivalent)

  • Strong experience teaching within Primary settings

  • A positive, nurturing approach to teaching and supporting young children

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • Available to start from January 2026

  • Full Right to Work in the UK is essential (Overseas-trained teachers welcome to apply)

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel safe and motivated to learn

  • Monitor, assess and record pupils’ progress, ensuring every child is supported and challenged appropriately

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community

  • Implement the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies consistently

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, activities and enrichment opportunities

  • Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour and personal development
