Quantum Scholars are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Berkshire that is seeking a dedicated Spanish Teacher to join their team from January. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic language specialist to contribute to a thriving Modern Foreign Languages department.
The school hiring is a co-educational secondary academy serving students aged 11 to 18. With a student body of over 1,700, including approximately 400 in its sixth form, the school fosters a supportive and inclusive environment. Ofsted rated the school as “Good” in its most recent inspection, noting strengths in pupil behaviour, personal development, and leadership.The sixth-form provision was particularly praised, receiving an “Outstanding” judgement.
Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and well-structured Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum requirements

Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential

Maintain high standards of behaviour, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and school initiatives

Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents

Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and wider school events
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Strong subject knowledge in Spanish

Previous experience teaching Spanish within a secondary school setting

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
