Quantum Scholars is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Berkshire, which is seeking a talented Art Teacher to join their team from January 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.

Located in the heart of Berkshire, this secondary school is known for its strong sense of community, inclusive ethos, and dedication to academic and personal development. The school believes in the power of the arts to inspire, challenge, and engage students from all backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and imaginative Art lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 teaching available depending on experience)

  • Inspire students to explore a variety of media, techniques, and artistic styles

  • Support students in building strong portfolios and achieving high standards in both practical and theoretical components

  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and critical evaluation of artistic work

  • Participate in art-related extracurricular clubs, school exhibitions, and community art projects

  • Work collaboratively within the department and across the school to enhance the cultural life of the school

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive, meaningful feedback

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a closely related subject

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching visual arts

  • Ability to inspire creativity and enthusiasm among students

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative teaching environment
