EYFS / KS1 Primary Teacher – EOTAS Tuition

Quantum Scholars are seeking a qualified EYFS or KS1 Primary Teacher to provide 1:1 tuition and learning support for a primary-aged pupil accessing Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) in Wokingham.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a young person’s educational journey through personalised, home-based tuition.

The Role

  • Deliver 12 hours of tuition per week (days to be discussed and confirmed)
  • Provide 1:1, personalised learning support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs
  • Build a positive, trusting, and supportive relationship with the learner
  • Support engagement, confidence, and independence
  • Monitor progress and provide written feedback where appropriate
  • Work independently within a home-based setting

About the Pupil

You will be supporting a primary-aged pupil who is non-verbal and has very complex needs. The successful candidate will need to be patient, adaptable, and experienced in supporting children with additional needs.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs
  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence working independently
  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve success

Contract Details

  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Duration: Ongoing for the full year
  • Hours: 12 hours per week
  • Location: Home-based tuition
