Pandemic causing only a temporary disruption to teacher recruitment in England

As we enter the UK school summer holidays following a bumpy last few months of the academic year, we can all breathe a temporary sigh of relief that as a nation the United Kingdom has seen an end to the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

Clearly the situation around the world is still very concerning with many countries in the midst of a severe first wave of Covid-19. With outbreaks of a second wave also seen in many countries, the UK is braced for further troubles at some point in the future although we’ve been assured by our government that there will never be a national lockdown ever again. Only regional towns or cities will be asked to self-isolate if required.

For now though the UK is just about back to normal. Shops, pubs and restaurants have all opened back up again along with museums and even theatres, albeit with social distancing in place. Schools across the nation will also be fully reopening from September 2020. This is great news for any international candidate who wants to come and teach in England.

Despite the pandemic Quantum Scholars will be welcoming new international teachers into the country over the coming weeks as they begin their new lives teaching in England from September 2020.

International education recruitment is alive and well again and Quantum Scholars are focussing on the next recruitment periods for both January and September 2021. We are working closely with teachers from the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Jamaica, South Africa and Hong Kong to help them secure teaching positions in England from January and September 2021.
